Low‐complexity user scheduling for LEO satellite communications

With the increasing number of user terminals (UTs), interference among UTs might significantly decrease throughput low earth orbit satellite communication system. In this paper, scheduling method is investigated to suppress interference. Specifically, leveraging strong spatial directivity channels, a low-complexity angle-based orthogonal selection (AOUS) algorithm proposed, which selects with nearly channels via angle information UTs. A rate-based proportionally fair (PF)-AOUS further proposed ensure fairness UTs, combines AOUS PF criterion. To reduce complexity, an improved PF-AOUS that schedules according their pitch angles rather than rates proposed. addition, efficient precoding schemes for are designed by combining steering vector and power allocation matrix, it shown can be converted into problems balance throughput. The numerical results indicate achieves near-optimal sum rate performance, has similar performance PF-AOUS, high index scheme.
